As
a London Assembly Member and Leader of the Greens on Lewisham Council
Darren has a clear track record of winning in election after election.
There are now six Green councillors in this constituency. The Greens
came a clear second to Labour in this seat at last year’s council
elections, way ahead of the Lib-Dems who managed only two councillors
and the Conservatives who managed none at all. Only Darren can beat
Labour in Lewisham Deptford. At the coming General Election you
have a chance to elect Darren as your local MP.As a London Assembly
Member Darren has secured millions of pounds to help people insulate
their homes and extra cash to create new cycle lanes and safer routes
for walkers. Darren has also fought to tackle low pay and protect
local services. As a Lewisham Councillor Darren forced Labour into
a major u-turn over their pool closure plans – ensuring Ladywell
Leisure Centre stays open until a replacement is built.

Priscilla
Cotterell – Green Party Candidate for Lewisham East
Priscilla
has lived in Lewisham with her family for over 10 years. Since graduating
in Journalism studies she became more and more concerned about the
damage done to our environment and has actively dedicated herself
to the green agenda. As a mother she is particularly keen to promote
the importance of living green to young people too as their future
and future generations depend on the actions we take now. Priscilla
says, “The way we look after the planet now, from the choices we
make about what fuels we use, to the type of food we buy will have
a major impact on all of our lives. If elected as your MP I will
actively listen to local residents in order that we can work together
to create a fairer, healthier and greener Lewisham. I urge you to
vote Green.”
